<p>On behalf of the Governing Body I am pleased to inform parents that Miss Lindsey Taylor has been appointed Deputy Headteacher from 1<sup>st</sup> April 2010. </p>
<p>As you know Miss Taylor has been at St Andrew’s over 9 years, is part of the Senior Management Team and has been Acting Deputy for several months assisting the Headteacher in this demanding role.</p>

<p>Some children have asked about doing the sport relief mile (running or walking!!)  Mr Schofield has kindly measured out a mile round the playgrounds and school field.  We intend holding this event on the last day of term (Wednesday 31<sup>st</sup> March).  Any parents who wish to join us are very welcome.  Each class will be given an allotted time which we will inform you of on next weeks newsletter.</p>

<p>I would like to thank everyone who has sent in the Morrison’s vouchers.  Our order has been delivered this week and we have some new watering cans, Dutch hoes, seed potatoes, trowels, compost and also some weather stations which can be used in science lessons.</p>

<p>Hopefully the Gardening Club will resume after the danger of frost has passed as we have some trees, potatoes and seeds to plant.</p>

<p>Friday 26<sup>th</sup> March will be the last collection of dinner money before the Easter break.  If you have any outstanding dinner money please send it to school on this date.  After the 26<sup>th</sup> March all arrears will be collected directly by the Local Authority. </p>

<p>Please make sure your child has shorts, T-shirt and pumps in school to enable them to fully participate in PE and dance lessons.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">SPARE UNIFORM</span></strong></p>
<p>We have a surplus of spare uniform all in good condition.  These clothes will be on display in the KS2 open area from 3.00pm on Wednesday 3<sup>rd</sup> and Thursday 4<sup>th</sup> of March.  A small donation to school funds would be appreciated.</p>

<p>There will be a coffee morning in the Parish Centre on Friday 5<sup>th</sup> March, 10.00am to 12.00 noon.  All monies raised will go to Cancer Research.  Everyone is welcome.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><strong>St Andrew’s church congregation are putting on a pantomime during half term week in the school hall on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm. The pantomime is Goldilocks and the 3 bears.  Tickets are £4.00 for adults and £3.00 for children and will be on sale after both church services on Sunday morning and in school on Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 1.30pm.</strong></span></span></p>

<p>Don’t forget this Sunday, 7<sup>th</sup> February is our CHRISTINGLE SERVICE in church at 10.30am.  This is a lovely service for both adults and children. </p>
<p>The money raised will go to the Children’s Society who work with children in desperate need of help.  Please help us to shine a light in their darkness.</p>
